The short version. If you ask for a quote on one of our websites, we pass your details to a company that can give you one, and we may call, text or email you about it. If you’re a business, we use your details to talk to you and work with you. We don’t sell your data for others to market to you. You can stop contact, see your data, find out who received it, or have it deleted at any time from your requests.

2. What we collect
If you asked for a quote on one of our websites
- Contact details: your name, phone number, email address and postcode or address.
- Details about your request: the answers you give in our forms, for example whether you own your home, your property type, your energy use, what you want installed, when you want it, or the cover you’re looking for.
- Health information (health insurance websites only): if you choose to give it, for example medical conditions relevant to your cover. We only collect this with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Financial information (FraudClaim only): what happened, how much you lost, and the bank or payment method involved, so a firm can assess your claim.
- Records of our contact with you: calls, texts, emails and messages, and what happened with your request, for example whether you booked an appointment or went ahead.
If you’re a business
- Enquiry details: your name, company, job title, work email, phone number, sector and what you’re looking for, from our forms, emails, calls or messages.
- Client and supplier information: contact details for the people we work with, contract, billing and payment details, and records of the campaigns, leads and appointments we deliver.
- Mystery shopping records: if a client asks us to test their sales process, notes (and, where we tell you, recordings) of how enquiries were handled by their team.
Everyone
- Technical information: your IP address, device and browser, how you reached our websites and what you did there. Anything beyond what a website needs to work is only collected if you accept cookies. See our cookie policy.
3. How we use it, and our lawful basis

| Invoicing, accounts and tax records | Legal obligation |
| Mystery shopping a client’s sales process at the client’s request | Legitimate interests (ours and our client’s) in improving how leads are converted |

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed them against your rights, and you can object at any time. Ask us for details of that assessment.
4. Who we share it with
Companies that provide your quote. If you asked for a quote, we pass your details to one or more companies that can help with what you asked for, of the types listed below. Each becomes a separate controller of your details under its own privacy policy. They may contact you about your request, but not market other things to you unless you agree. We don’t publish our partners’ names, but we will always tell you who received your details if you ask us.

Service providers who act on our instructions: website hosting and security (Cloudflare), customer relationship and workflow software, and telephone, SMS, email and messaging providers. Our websites use fonts served by Google, which receives your IP address when pages load. If you message us on WhatsApp, Meta’s terms apply to that service.
Advertising platforms such as Meta, Google and LinkedIn. If you accept advertising cookies, they receive information about your visit. We may also share scrambled (hashed) contact details with them to measure our ads and reach people with similar interests. You can object to this at any time.
Others where required: professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement, or a buyer or investor if our business is sold or restructured. We don’t sell your details to companies for their own marketing.
5. Our role when we work for clients
- Leads and appointments from our own brands: we collect the enquiry as controller under this policy. When we pass it to a client, the client becomes a separate controller of their copy.
- Branded campaigns run under a client’s brand: we act as a processor for the client, following their instructions, and the client’s privacy policy applies.
- Outcome data: clients tell us what happened to each lead, for example whether it became a sale. We use this to improve our targeting.
6. Automated scoring and AI
We use software, including AI, to check and score enquiries (for example, how complete and likely to proceed a request is), to send automated follow-up texts, and to learn from what happened to past enquiries so our advertising reaches people likely to be interested. This helps decide how quickly an enquiry is followed up and which company is best placed to help. It never makes decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you without a person involved. You can ask us to explain how it works, and you can object to it.
7. International transfers
Convrsion is a US company, and some of our service providers are outside the UK. When your details are transferred to the US or elsewhere, we protect them with the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or by using providers certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension. Email us for a copy of the safeguards.
8. How long we keep it
- Quote enquiries and our contact with you: up to 24 months after our last contact.
- A record of which companies received your details: six years, so we can answer your questions and deal with complaints or claims.
- Health information: deleted once your request has been passed on, and within 12 months at the latest.
- Business enquiries that don’t lead to work together: up to 24 months after our last contact.
- Client and supplier records: for the length of the relationship and six years afterwards, for accounting and legal reasons.
- Mystery shopping notes and recordings: up to 12 months after we report to the client.
- Stop and deletion requests: we keep a minimal record of your contact details on a suppression list so you are never contacted again.
9. Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to:
- get a copy of your personal information, including the names of the companies that received it
- have inaccurate information corrected
- have your information deleted
- restrict how we use it
- object to our use of it, including for direct marketing and automated scoring
- receive your information in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
The quickest way to use these rights is through your requests, or by emailing info@convrsion.com. We’ll reply within one month. You can also reply STOP to any text we send.
US residents. Depending on your state, you may have similar rights to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising. We don’t sell personal information, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out of advertising cookies.
10. Security
We protect your information with encrypted connections, access controls and trusted providers. Partners that receive your details must keep them secure. If a breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
11. Age
Our services are for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
12. Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or, in the EU, to the regulator where you live or work.
13. Changes
We update this policy when the way we handle personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
